In news that might shock some, Amazon is beginning to realize they’re going to lose out in the Kindle hardware market in a big way with the upcoming release of the Apple tablet. According to Ars Technica, Amazon has released an SDK in response to the fact that the Kindle hardware is about to become an expensive toy.
What does this mean to you?
Word on the street is that Amazon is looking to get their Kindle on anything with a screen. Mobile phones, computers, the old tube TV set – anything goes at this point. And for the first time in years, I see Amazon doing something timely and truly wise. Get out now, before the Apple tablet and the flurry of PC-based clones start flooding the market.
